Having one Queen bed with and open fire, makes this perfect for a couples romantic getaway! Enjoy the old world charm of unique fittings while still having some modern comforts. Enjoy a walk with the wildlife in the surrounding farmland, or just snuggle up in front of the fire with that special someone. Firewood is provided between May and September and upon arrival you will find the fire place set ready to light.

Take a short stroll down to Hampden Bridge and take a swim in the river. The small village of Kangaroo Valley is a 2 minute drive away and provides a variety of cafes and the local pub for breakfast, lunch & dinner, or the general store can provide you with all you need if you prefer to cook yourself in the equipped kitchenette (no oven) and stay in your secluded hideaway.

We stayed at The Dairy on our previous stays but this cottage is AMAZING. Every year we come here for our anniversary weekend and we always leave relaxed. Thanks for offering such a beautiful bit of history for us to be a part of.

Such an amazing place!! It was great to relax in front of the fire, enjoying being away from work and Sydney life. So many nice walks around this peaceful area. Could stay for longer, don’t want to leave. We will be recommending “Settlers Cottage” to friends and family. Hope to be back very soon.

Beautiful cottage, wonderful garden and amazing views. Had to choose between sunset on the back verandah or sit in front of the fire, so we stayed two nights and did both. We really appreciated the very clean facilities, comfy bed and a chance to relax. Loved the history.
